Karaoke

Ok so I was out for some drinks with some buddies and at oh about 10pm I was deep into several vodka tonics when they announced that the Karaoke was about to begin. Hearing this information I was quick to my iPhone to call cab and fly out of there to which I was most unsuccessful.  It seems in my state at the time I was using voice command to tell my phone to “Call Paxi Pad” and I kept getting Walgreens for some reason.  Okay I’m rambling sorry, back to the point. After about an hour of torturous Karaoke I thought.. ya know who protects the songs? In today’s politically correct world where everything has a group and a fund and more PSA’s spots then lime slices used in Cabo during spring break why is there no group protecting “The Songs” ? Is there any group that will stand and  protect the songs from the heartless,  cruel,  butchering of songs taking place in the 100’s, thousands and yes possibly millions of Karaoke bars operating freely weekend after weekend in the United States. Is there no one that will put out a PSA shining the light on the millions of butchered songs? Songs that their only crime was to be popular. Songs that yearn to be performed by the talent that can truly restore them to their once great status..
